Jürgen Habermas: Biography
Jürgen Habermas, a German philosopher and the leading representative of the Frankfurt School, was born on June 18, in Düsseldorf.
He studied philosophy, history, and literature at the universities of Göttingen, Zurich, and Bonn, and later taught at the universities of Heidelberg and Frankfurt am Main. From to , he conducted courses on social philosophy and the history of philosophy at the latter university.
Habermas gained wide recognition for his scholarly works on the examination of social relations in Western society, particularly in Germany.
